Security and protection of personal data
We treat personal data confidentially and use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against loss, alteration and unauthorised access. Data is processed lawfully, fairly and transparently and only for specified purposes.
What personal data means
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Processing includes collecting, recording, organising, storing, adapting, retrieving, using, disclosing, restricting, deleting or destroying personal data.
Legal bases for processing
Depending on the individual case, personal data is processed on the basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), to comply with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR), to protect vital interests (Article 6(1)(d) GDPR), or for our legitimate interests or those of a third party where those interests are not overridden by your rights (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Data collected when visiting this website
When you access this website, the hosting infrastructure may automatically process technical information required to deliver the pages securely and reliably. This may include your IP address, date and time of the request, requested page or file, HTTP status, amount of data transferred, referrer, browser, operating system, language settings and browser version.
This processing is necessary to provide the website, ensure stability and security, and detect misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical log data is not combined with other personal data by Linea-D and is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required, subject to legal retention obligations and the hosting provider’s security requirements.
Contact by email or telephone
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, message and any project or enquiry information, to respond to you. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or, where the enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We retain correspondence only for as long as necessary to deal with the enquiry and meet applicable legal retention obligations. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, although statutory retention requirements may prevent immediate deletion.
Applications by email
If you submit an application by email, we process the personal data and documents you provide solely for the recruitment process. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where necessary, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for the security of our systems and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. If an application does not result in employment, the data will generally be deleted two months after the rejection is sent. It may be retained for longer where this is necessary to evaluate or process legal claims, to comply with a legal obligation, or where you have expressly consented to longer storage.
Company video
The Company page contains a video file hosted directly with this website. Playing the video requires the delivery of that media file by the hosting infrastructure and therefore involves the same technical request data described above. No YouTube, Vimeo or comparable third-party video service is embedded.
Product images and brochure downloads
Some product images and downloadable brochures are delivered from cdn.prod.website-files.com, a content delivery service used by Webflow. When your browser requests one of these files, technical connection data such as your IP address, the requested file, date and time, referrer, browser and operating system may be transmitted to the service. This is necessary to display the product catalogue and provide the requested brochures. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the reliable and efficient presentation of our furniture collections.
External map link
The Contact page contains a link to Google Maps. No interactive Google map is embedded in this website. Data is transmitted to Google only after you actively open the external link. The privacy terms of the external provider then apply.
Cookies, analytics and marketing
This corporate website does not currently use analytics or marketing cookies, Google Analytics, social-media plug-ins or third-party advertising technologies. It does not currently provide an online contact form or user account. The privacy banner stores your selection in your browser’s local storage under the key linead_consent for up to 180 days. This necessary storage prevents the banner from appearing on every visit and records whether optional categories may be activated. You can change or withdraw your selection at any time via “Privacy settings” in the footer. If optional services are introduced, this policy and the consent information will be updated before those services are activated.
Recipients and service providers
Personal data may be processed by carefully selected technical service providers where this is necessary to operate and secure the website or manage communications. Such providers act under applicable data protection obligations. Data is disclosed to authorities or other recipients only where required by law, necessary to protect legal rights, or otherwise permitted under applicable law.
International data transfers
If a service provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure that a recognised transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards required by Chapter V GDPR are in place, unless an adequacy decision applies.
Storage and deletion
Personal data is deleted or anonymised when the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies. Data may be retained for longer where European or national law requires retention or where it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have the right to request confirmation and access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, completion of incomplete data, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR for reasons relating to your particular situation.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects, subject to the exceptions in Article 22 GDPR.
You may exercise your rights using the contact details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
Children
This website is intended for a business and adult audience. Persons under the age of 18 should not send personal data to us without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Updates to this policy
We may update this privacy policy when the website, its services or legal requirements change. The version published on this page is the current version.
